Project 2; Nike
For this project I chose to do a knitwear line for Nike. Because of my love of programming knit patterns on the Stoll ADF machine, I thought this would be a good area to explore since Nike uses that technology already for their shoes and some clothing. Through my research I found that a lot of Nike competitors have lines with casual, street knitwear meant for lifestyle wear. I thought this would be a good area to dive into because Nike is already using the technology, and I think that there is a lot of room for interesting knit pieces that fit within their aesthetic. For my inspiration I am incorporating metals into the clothing because of suspected healing and antimicrobial benefits to hard metals.
