Ferry was founded by designer and artist, Michaela Courtney. After building a career as a knitwear designer in the fashion industry under brands such as Anthropologie, St. John Knits, and The Elder Statesman, Michaela departed to bring her deep love of craftsmanship and textiles to the home decor space.

Michaela believes that through outfitting the spaces where we rest, work, eat and play, we are creating the environment that reflects the values we want to live by. By designing quality pieces that focus on timeless design, warm colors, joyful textures and natural materials, she is creating a world that leads with inspiration and meaningful interactions.

Michaela believes that the best way forward to a more sustainable future in production, is to lead with natural materials, and quality over quantity. She breathes these principles into her work by leading with purposeful and intuitive design.

Michaela grew up on the coast of Maine, and now lives in Los Angeles, California. She is inspired by the wildness of our oceans and rocky coastlines.
